2. Eligibility

Teachers using our platform agree to:

  • Only use the platform for legitimate educational purposes
  • Comply with all applicable educational laws and regulations

4.2. Student Accounts

Students using our platform agree to:

  • Submit original work that does not infringe on others' intellectual property rights
  • Use the platform for educational purposes only
  • Not share account credentials with others
  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property of teachers and other students
  • Follow academic integrity guidelines provided by their educational institutions

5. File Storage and Third-Party Services

Our platform uses third-party infrastructure to support authentication, file storage, and file delivery. By using these services:

  • You acknowledge that files uploaded through EduEase may be processed or stored using third-party storage and delivery providers selected by EduEase
  • You understand that EduEase may rely on third-party authentication providers for sign-in and account access
  • You agree to comply with the applicable terms of any third-party services you choose to use in connection with EduEase
  • You understand that EduEase may change service providers over time as part of maintaining or improving the platform

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1. Our Content

The Services and their original content, features, and functionality are owned by EduEase and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any of our content without our express written permission.

6.2. User Content

By submitting, posting, or sharing content on or through our Services ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, and display your User Content for the purposes of operating and improving our Services.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
  • Your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason.

  • AI review results are for educational purposes only and should not be considered definitive
  • The authenticity scoring is an automated estimate and may not always be accurate
  • Teachers retain full discretion in evaluating and grading student work
  • Students may dispute AI review results through their teachers
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of AI review features

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by EduEase. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by the use of such third-party websites or services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduEase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of our Services.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website. By continuing to use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the United States, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
