5. Educational Materials and Fair Use

EduEase is an educational platform, and we recognize the importance of fair use in educational contexts. However, fair use is a limited exception to copyright protection and is determined on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as:

  • The purpose and character of the use (educational purposes are often favored)
  • The nature of the copyrighted work
  • The amount and substantiality of the portion used
  • The effect of the use upon the potential market for the copyrighted work

Users should be aware that claiming "educational use" does not automatically exempt content from copyright protection. When in doubt, seek permission from the copyright holder or use properly licensed materials.

6. Teacher and Student Responsibilities

Teachers and students using our platform are responsible for ensuring that the materials they upload, share, or submit:

  • Are original works created by them
  • Are properly licensed or authorized for educational use
  • Include appropriate citations and attributions when using others' works
  • Comply with applicable copyright laws and fair use principles
  • Do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, EduEase has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our discretion, limit access to our Services and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

8. Licensing of Educational Content

EduEase encourages the sharing and reuse of educational materials through appropriate licensing. We support the use of Creative Commons licenses and other open educational resource (OER) licensing models that facilitate legal sharing and adaptation of content for educational purposes.

Teachers are encouraged to clearly indicate the licensing terms for materials they create and share on our platform, and to respect the licensing terms of materials they use.
